OK, Happy Now?
Okay...so I know that I've been really slack lately on the whole blog thing. This is a symptom of the fact that I've basically been really really bored with life lately. Mainly this is because I'm just biding my time until the Great Exodus (which is basically just moving to Japan). However, just because I haven't been posting does NOT mean that life has stopped. Quite the opposite. Many things have happened to me over the last couple of weeks. Thing #1: I have gained a second job, and it has me really nervous. I am tutoring ESL, and start later this week. THose of you who know my hidden side know that I sometimes am scared to try as there is a very good chance that I would fail, or at least not do amazingly well (the sign of true perfectionist I've been told, but I choose not to ponder that further as I would not really like to realize that I am actually a half-ass perfectionist). If I don't do well at this, I'm freaked out because that is going to be my source of income in Japan...teaching ESL. But, I shall restrain from panicking to the extreme until after my first few weeks. After all, I sucked at HoK when I first started and now I am a bonafide Knife Pimp (K.P. for short). Thing #2: My parents came for a visit and they brought Jamie. This was really exciting for me cause I hadn't seen the folks in almost half a year, and longer than that for Jamie. We had an amazing visit which was tainted by only one thing: I was no longer able to hide from my mother how incredibly poor I've been these past few months. Now she is really worried about, especially concerning my diet, or lack there of. No worries people...I will let you know when I have resorted to eating old shoes. That will be time for concern. Also, Jamie purchased the most addictive game while she was here: Mario Party 7. We spent the entire time playing it. That and Balderdash. Which leads me to Thing #3: Jamie and Mike have now met, and my little devious evil plan of trying to set them up seems to have taken a turn for the better. They genuinely enjoy each others' company, and have spent some time talking amongst themselves. This is really good, cause Mike deserves a good girl like Jamie (if you even try to deny the fact that you're awesome Jamie, I'll beat you like a red-headed step child...I kid you not) and Jamie deserves someone who will treat her like a goddess cause she is. I'm now just sitting back and hoping everything goes well for those crazy kids. Finally Thing #4: I, Caitlin, have actually gone camping. I know, I know...you are all sitting out there, eyes protruding from your heads and your jaws hanging open like a hanger for model airplanes. I asure you, this is true. Karen invited me to go camping with her friends and though I was hesitant, it was really important to her. I have told many people that Karen is my sanity...she is the one I talk to when things are going crazy, and she puts things in perspective and keeps me from becoming a homicidal maniac (even though that could be fun for a while :P). So I thought to myself that it is probably a good idea to keep the person who is in charge of your mental state happy, so I was brave and went into the middle of NoWhere...like literally didn't think we would get out of there alive (the road was really scary...30 foot drops to the side, and foot deep pot holes and random ditches in the middle of the road) to a really pretty location by white water. It was a blast...we drank way too much, and partied really hard. We had a blast, and I discovered that one of Karen's high school chums used to live in the puddle, and yes that Dad was his principal...surprising? Not really...such is karma. So we chatted and reminised a lot. It was a blast...except for three factors: a) her guy friends are a blast, the girls they hang out with are very clicky (Karen and I just chilled with the guys); b) it was freezing cold and both Karen and I had trouble sleeping because of that; and c) girls are not made to pee in the bushes...aside from that, it was amazing. I would do it again, only when it's warmer. So there. I kinda feel like I've made up for all the lack of posting I've been doing lately, and I hope that this makes eveyone feel happy. I will be back, sooner this time, with more crazy adventure and zany antics. I mean, what is life without the proper amount of shenanigans? Exactly. More strangeness yet to come.

You're right.
She is a Goddess. Now we just have to convince her of it.
