Hey all. A very Merry Christmas to all you out there in blogger-land. And now to the few, the proud, the readers of this blog. I have had an amazing holiday, so far, and continuing to enjoy every minute. Great times were had by all. I went to the local bar, and ran into all the people from high school, who I had great time with (all four of them) and the twenty or so people that I would have liked to hit. Or to take a bottle to the eye rather than speak to them. Yay. Huzzah. It's ironic that Chawn and I come home, only to hang out with all our friends from the city. Now, we wait for New Years, which is slowly getting to be more and more exciting. Yay, and all that. Anywho, good times to all. Merry Christmas, and New Years to everyone. Hello Christmas Break!
Ok, all you kiddies out there, today is the day that Chawn and I return to the puddle that we know as home. Although it may not seem like a good thing, I am quite giddy. After all there are four very important people I get to see: my mom and dad, my brother Ty, and Jamie. YEAH! And to top it all off, I never have to go to school again in the year 2005. This is so magnificent, I might just cry...yep, there's a tear. The only sad note, is that tragically, Chawn and I must leave our precious kitties behind for the ten days. I already miss them, and I don't know what I'm gonna do without my Cloud waking me up (he's been my alarm clock lately). But enough for now. Long cramped transportation awaits. Merry Christmas and all that jazz. More strangeness yet to come.

D-Day and Candy Canes
Tomorrow is D-Day. The first scary exam in the next two exams is tomorrow, followed by the second on Thursday. As such, Karen and I are strategizing (i.e. studying) tonight and tomorrow night like mad. MAD! But as always, we shall rock it. Like you wouldn't believe (wishful helping always is a good idea). On another note, only four more days until I get to go home. I'm really excited, and laughing a bit on the inside due to the fact that I'm going to have no room for clothes in my suitcase, it's going to be way to full with presents. This is usually a good thing, but all the presents are for someone else. Actually, I've been playing Santa's little helper a lot this, and to be perfectly honest with you, I love it. It really helps me get into the spirit, and the spirit must be had. Another Karen, Chawn and I did was to make a big dinner on Sunday night for ourselves and my big brothers (except for Ty, but that is merely because he lives six hours away...if he was closer, it would have been for him too!). It was delicious. Parmasiana chicken, baked hash browns, with ceasar salad, which Karen followed up with candy cane cheesecake and banana cream pie. YUM! My belly was so full that it is only now returning to its original size. Ah, yummy chicken, you engorge my belly. Remember kiddies, if you need me to do any Christmas shopping for you, I'm going to Metrotown on Friday, and I can wrap the presents for you. More strangeness yet to come.

Exams...argh!
Okay, so here's the scoop. Two classes down...two to go. Strangely enough, the two left are for lower division classes, and yet have me more worried than the other two. What's up with that? Yesterday was a day of present giving...which always fills my heart with glee. I recieved some pj pants from Mel, which are nice, and from Karen I got a late B-day gift...a tic-tac-toe set of shot glasses (so nice...we will make up the rules for it on New Years! YAY!) and a gift certificate to Tim Hortons, which should be gone within the week. To top it all off, she gave Chawn and I each a chocolate orange...only it was a mint flavour. Yummm! I wrote an exam in 45 minutes last night, and would probably be worried about this, but it seems to be my running time for all exams. Meh, what can you do? I'm killing time right now before I have to leave for work in ten minutes. But I'm spending most of the day today organizing, which has me really excited. No really, it does...absolutely no sarcasm there. I actually like organizing...no wise cracks please. Aside from that, I'm just sitting back tonight. Tomorrow I'm off to Metrotown to help Karen with Christmas shopping and to drop off a resume at what would be my dream job (Manga and anime? God, where will my paycheck go?) As Jamie says: such is life. More strangeness yet to come.

Fun Facts about online comics
Hey there boys and girls! Today I have a very interesting subject: the art of the webcomic. My main focuses are those I read mainly. Let's see how many times I can say main in a sentence. Okay! I mainly choose to focus mainly on five main webcomics, which are mainly Penny Arcade, Sinfest, Machall, Megatokyo, and one of my new main farvorites PPG (mainly known as Powerpuff Girls....yes!) Four are fairly easy to find, the fifth, not so much. However, it is the wry cynism linger beneath the surface of these forms of medium which dictate a side of society that is usually hidden away from the jock ladden main stream of such companies as Ralph Lauren and American Eagle. This is the subcultures of the artsy, gaming geeks around the world. Penny Arcade focuses on mainly the gaming culture, and of course hilarity ensues. The characters are comical, slighty two diminsional in the beginning of the comic, but as it progresses the reader comes to get attatched to the bumbling antics of Tycho and Gabe (Gabe totally rocks). Sinfest is a commentary on religion and art, and is pulled off quite splendidly (James, you should read this one...you will giggle). My favorite characters are the offshoot charaters of the dog and cat, and of mini-Satan, or Satan's fanboy. Extremely funny. Two thumbs way way up. Machall, although an extremely witty commentary on gamer geeks and college life, not neccesarily in that order, updates infrequently. This is mainly because the artist is himself attending universities, and is therefore much more able to give a good commentary on the whole society of college life. Megatokyo, a classic, focuses on Japanese life, fanboys and gamer geeks (including the sub-sub culture of 1337 or leet/elite to those none computer speakers out there). Though the story has slow progression, the comic itself is worth the wait, with both enjoyable art and twists of plot, it has been well laid out. And teh final one which I just discovered today is the PPG anime-ified. As it was just discovered, no real substantial opinion has been formed yet, but give me time. An opinion always forms. That is all for now, I will fill your minds with more fluff and nonsense soon. More strangeness yet to come.

Egads!
Egads! Heh heh heh. Like you didn't see that one coming. But, moving on...Egads! Has anyone ever noticed how the Christmas season seems to creep up on you, whether you have been working towards it for a while? Last night Chawn put up Christmas lights on our balconey (it looks really great), and I am currently listening to Christmas music (which is something I refuse to do until Dec. 1st...wow). I am more in the season this year than I have been for a long time. I think it may have something to do with the snow we've had the past couple of days. It really makes me feel like it is actually time for stockings, cookies, and snow angels (and Jamie doing summersaults in the snow...tee hee). I really am excited to go home, to see my folks and friends, two friends especially (No more not seeing each other for a year. You know who you are...that was completely unacceptable. For Shame!)(that for shame is also directed to me, because as we all know, it takes two people to visit one another...that made way more sense in my head). Also, school is coming to an end, which is awesome, because this has been one of the worst semesters I've had, so I'm really looking forward to the break, and sadly enough, to next semester. Tis the season to get slightly crazy. Ah, tu blave. Jamie, if you don't get that, I'll be very very dissappointed. But that is all for now. (Oh, side note. Watch Mr. and Mrs. Smith, it is good. I liked it. You should too. That is all.) One day I'm going to fill the brackets with complete gibberish, not just the quasi-gibberish I've been filling it with up until now. Egads!
